An evaluation explores symptoms, when they began, their effects across settings, and medical and mental health history. Questionnaires and relevant records may help inform the assessment.

Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) can involve persistent difficulty with attention, restlessness, or acting impulsively. People may struggle to organize tasks, remember commitments, finish projects, or wait their turn. Not everyone experiences the same symptoms.
Similar difficulties can occur with sleep problems, anxiety, depression, or other conditions. An evaluation helps clarify what may be contributing.

Treatment approaches may include medication, psychotherapy, and practical skills for organization and daily routines. Your needs and preferences guide discussion of options and referrals.
When clinically appropriate, medication management includes discussing benefits, risks, and side effects, with follow-up to review response and consider adjustments.
